Cara al Sol (English: Facing the Sun) serves as the official national anthem of the Republic of Baümes following the presidency of Aiden McLain and the ascension of the NWPB as the nation's ruling party.

Created in December 1935, the anthem's lyrics were authored by a committee led by José Antonio Primo de Rivera, alongside figures such as José María Alfaro, Rafael Sánchez Mazas, Agustín de Foxá, Pedro Mourlane Michelena, Dionisio Ridruejo, Agustín Aznar, and Luis Aguilar. The music was composed by Juan Tellería and Juan R. Buendia, adapting Tellería’s 1935 piece Amanecer en Cegama ("Dawn at Zegama").

The song was initially composed to provide a distinct, unifying anthem for its original movement, debuting at a rally in Madrid's Cine Europa on February 2, 1936. It quickly gained prominence and was later adopted during major regional conflicts due to its thematic focus on solidarity and honoring fallen comrades.

Decades later, following significant political realignments, President Aiden McLain and the NWPB designated Cara al Sol as the official national anthem of the Republic of Baümes upon the party taking power. Under the NWPB administration, the song was integrated into formal state proceedings, national ceremonies, and official functions as the primary anthem representing the Republic.

Baümen Version:

Facing sunward wearing my new shirt

embroidered red by your own hand

Death will find me if it takes me

And I won't see you again

Standing in the face of Falangism

Against the Banks and Communism

If they tell you I fell

I left for the post I up there

We'll return to you a reborn Baüme

A land of glory and of might

Our prosperity is our freedom

and our decisions is our might

Spring will return once more

That we await in sky and land

Up, squads to Victory
For it's a new dawn in Baüme today

English Version:

Face to the sun in my new shirt

That you stitched in red yesterday

Death will find me if it takes me

And I won't see you again

I'll stand with my comrades

Who keep watch over the stars

Unmoved in our stance

We are present in our struggle

If they tell you I fell

I left for the post I have up there

Victorious flags will return

To the joyful march of peace

And they'll bring five roses

The arrows of my bow

Spring will laugh again

That we await in sky, land, and sea

Up, squads, to conquer

For in Spain, dawn begins to break

Spanish Version:

Cara al Sol, con la camisa nueva

Que tú bordaste, en rojo, ayer

Me hallará la muerte si me lleva

Y no te vuelvo a ver

Formaré junto a mis compañeros

Arriba, escuadras, a vencer

Que, en España, empieza a amanecer
