Today, after the shootout at a Jeshian compound, officials have declared that there will be no compromise unless Jeshia puts in an effort. Jeshian President James is not taking any action to restore peace, which has enraged Baümens.
Baümen Second Chair President Aiden McLain released this post on Instagram following the shootout that left two Jeshians injured:
“To the members of the Guccist Party and the foreign powers of Jeshia, I would like to begin with saying the following. Both sides were extremely in the wrong.
In June, both nations signed the Lasater-McLain Agreement which states the following:
- No Jeshian or Baümen will claim territory next to each other
- No Jeshian or Baümen will enter each other’s land unless with special grant from the First or Second Chair President and from the Oblast Director.
- Jeshia and Baüme are strictly prohibited from military exercises with/near/or on the others territory.
Both nations broke this agreement, meaning that the only way to compromise is clear the log out of our eye before theirs. The people of Baüme acted in an unprofessional manner in which Article 3 was broken where an unknown Baümen attacked the compound of a Jeshian military. This was after a direct response to articles 2-3 were broken when armed Jeshians entered the Bomber Oblast without explicit permission from Director Cunningham.
We recognize that two Jeshians were harmed alongside a personal vehicle. Since no Baümens were injured, we would like to say that you do not need to apologize to us. From the entirety of Baüme, we are deeply sorry. As of today, I am attempting to reach a resolution with the Jeshian government. Our glorious president has decided to leave this matter to me due to his Jeshian original nationality. I am willing to negotiate peace, and to allow a new treaty to allow both of us to survive as not just neighbors, but brothers.
Heil to the Party!
Long Live Baüme!"
Will this be the end of the conflict, or just the beginning?
